The New Year's Eve party "The Last Days of Saigon" is banned. It takes place anyway. The bunker is closed by decree.

The Deutsches Theater is staging Simon Donald's "Lebensstoff" on the fourth floor of the bunker.

The techno club "Bunker" becomes one of the most important centres of the burgeoning electro scene. It is considered the hardest club in the world because of its fetish and fantasy parties.

After reunification, the building belongs to the Federal Republic of Germany.
1957
Storage of imported tropical fruit from Cuba by the "Volkseigenen Betrieb Obst Gemüse Speisekartoffeln". The locals call the building a "banana bunker".

The bunker becomes a warehouse for textiles.

Occupation of the bunker by the Red Army and use as a war prison.
